WARNING: There are fake agencies praying on people for exspensive photo shoots or cheaper photoshoots where they are there to take your money and offer no services as reported by Watchdog. If you are told that your have what it takes to be a model, then agencies will pay for your portfolio and then take the cost from the work that you do.
If you want to look for work and send your details off to agencies, its a good Idea to have some test cards printed, these cards hold your details and several images of you showing what you can look like to agencies and their clients.
The Grafixphoto model portfolio offers you a great chance to gather images and take home some great prints as well as a printed album and cards. it really is up to you. The time is centered around two days of shooting in different outfits and locations to give you a wide varity of photos to selct from, these are then short listed by our team and put made into a test card for you. You do have the option for an album to be made for you so that you can have a keepsake or reference book to show your clients. or prints that you may wish to have to show off.
How the shoot works:
First of all you will have a meeting with Rory the lead photographer and then refered to other photogrpahers as nessasary about your modleing portfolio or actor portfolio cards and books.
You then bring a range of clothes to wear during the portfolio shootto give you a different look fro teh days shoot. Hair and make up can be arranged at an additional cost or you can supply your own.
The day of the shoot will be agreed in advanced; We go off to the first venue, we shoot for some time and then head to any second venue or you change into another outfit. this type of shoot will be dependant on location shooting or studio shooting, these are dependent on the choices that will be made at the meeting.
Day two, we reshoot the venues or at new venues, with differnt hair styles and outfits to cover all aspects of the photography and your looks for the model cards /actor cards and /or portfolio dependant on your needs. After day one, you may view the photo's on a preview website so that you can see your photos that have been taken.
After the shoot, the images are added to the website preview and test cards are designed, you can then select any images that you would like to print for your self or build into an album. Designs for a porfolio book and test cards are submitted for you to select from, Once the selection is made in around one week your cards and any other items order will be available.
What you need:
Bring a range of clothing that will suit your area of work, you will be advised in the initial meeting with your photographer.
Wear light makeup, but bring makeup and a friend to help you, this can offer you a quicker turn around when getting changed or trying new make up sets. a professional can be provided if nessasary, also consider different hair styles to give a range of looks. Have good nights sleep and eat well the day before so you look fresh for the shoot
